Born in Dallas, Bourquin grew up in central Texas and enlisted in the Army in 1998. He trained as an infantryman while completing basic training and advanced individual training at Fort Benning, Georgia. Bourquin went on to serve in the 1st Cavalry Division and 1st Infantry Division in various leadership positions.

Dj Marvin founded The Rating Center, where they truly believe in the skydive training and the professional skydiving certification process. His vast experience includes thousands of student jumps which gives him a highly specialized perspective of the sport. It is this knowledge that he passes on to the future skydiving instructors at The Rating Center. He is also the founder of Gravity Lab Radio which is my favorite skydiving podcast

George Nisson may be the baddest man alive. From getting shot at in his scout chopper during the Vietnam war, crashing helicopters in Alaska or swooping his VK 96 this old dude doesn’t know the meaning of quit. George Nisson is a rare jewel in our sport with more than 50 years of skydiving experience. George Nisson is the guy you buy the beer for! It is the stories told around the fire from guys like George Nisson that make the Drop Zone a special place.

Elijah Roberson is a young up and coming Wind Tunnel instructor at iFLY Dallas who is beginning his skydiving experience with an iFLY instructors amount of flight time. Eli is part of this new generation who are taking to the skies. These are really young, highly motivated people with zero skydiving experience. People who can fly Dynamic lines and 4 way VFS before they can legally drive. Deal with it. Celebrate it! These future jumpers are coming to your drop zone. We can either thrive off of their high energy and fresh approach to our sport or go the way of the round parachutes. We can either adapt and learn or get stuffed in the bottom locker at the back of the packing room. The future is amazing! Lets help mold these flyers into safe skydivers that you would want to drink a beer with.

Michael Eric is a highly motivated and driven anomaly. Founder of Ghost Squad Helicopter Dropzones, owner of Skydive El Paso, Tunnel Instructor and professional skydiver Eric does not know the meaning of slow. Eric is a world traveler who has flown in more tunnels and jumped at more drop zones in the last year than most of us will in a lifetime. This is an extremely generous dude who has used his good fortune to elevate all of those around him. A tunnel coach, free fly coach, canopy coach who would give you the rig off his back. Did I mention helicopters? $25.00 Heli jumps? Ghost Squad is the Sh%t!

Sam King is the guy you can’t wait to see next weekend at the drop zone! Sam King is a highly skilled and experienced jumper who is still having a blast after more than 20 years in the sport. A self proclaimed shepherd, Sam is a wealth of knowledge and skydive fun. You can find him hanging off an Otter for big ways at Space land San Marcos, diving the door out of the King Aire at Skydive Lonestar or smiling on a Cessna 182 at his home DZ Skydive Temple. Doesn’t matter, Sam King is there to fly!

Doug Jacques Is a 70 year old badass that will out jump you on any given Sunday. Doug is an active Tandem Instructor, Coach and big way skydiver with more than 12,000 skydives and 36 years in the sport we love. His skydive travels have led him through Iraq, N. Korea, Thailand and India.

Joe and Paul Silvia are third generation dropzone kids who grew up to be drop zone owners! The Skydiving Company in Madisonville Tx, opened its doors in 2018 with a Cessna Caravan, a new hangar and highly experienced staff. These boys have been packing parachutes and skydiving for their fathers’ drop zone in Chattanooga Tn, since before they could drive. Joe Silvia has traveled the country working at multiple drop zones. Paul is an expert nylon compressionist.
